The muted red colour of the Student 30’s Blues embodies the melancholy of the music style Blues and is also one of the most popular colours of the ‘30s. An essential pioneer for many other styles of music, such as Jazz, Rock and R’n’B, the Blues emerged in America as early as the 19th century. The genre spread in the 1930s found its way into various jazz big bands, and influential musicians such as Robert Johnson and Billie Holliday came out.

The Kaweco STUDENT is a medium-size fountain pen with an acrylic resin body and cap and plated metal front section. This model takes standard-size cartridges although it can be filled from bottled ink using a converter and we recommend the Kaweco piston converter (discounted if bought with the pen).

UK postage is FREE over £35 but otherwise starts at £1.80 for small items (converters, refills etc) or £3.30 for ink, stationery etc.

Overseas shipping starts at only £4.00. The exact cost varies by price, weight and delivery country so to find out your final shipping cost just add the item to your shopping basket and select the delivery country. You don't have to enter any personal details - just an e-mail address but this isn't stored unless you create an account. We offer a choice of shipping services from Royal Mail and DHL.

VAT (at 20%) is automatically taken off for destinations outside the UK. Note that if you are ordering within the EU you will have to pay VAT when your parcel arrives.

Availability
If an item is in stock, the words "In stock" will be shown. If an item is out of stock, the approximate number of days before we get another delivery will be shown instead. If we show the pen with the default nib selection shown in stock it means we have stock of that pen. If you select another nib size and the website doesn't say "in stock" we can usually supply that pen immediately as we keep extensive supplies of nibs from all our manufacturers.
