Shipping cost
UK postage is FREE over £35 but otherwise starts at £1.80 for small items (converters, refills etc) or £3.30 for ink, stationery etc.
Overseas shipping starts at only £4.00. The exact cost varies by price, weight and delivery country so to find out your final shipping cost just add the item to your shopping basket and select the delivery country. You don't have to enter any personal details - just an e-mail address but this isn't stored unless you create an account. We offer a choice of shipping services from Royal Mail and DHL.
VAT (at 20%) is automatically taken off for destinations outside the UK. Note that if you are ordering within the EU you will have to pay VAT when your parcel arrives.
Availability
If an item is in stock, the words "In stock" will be shown. If an item is out of stock, the approximate number of days before we get another delivery will be shown instead. You may still be able to order the item, but there will be a delay before we can dispatch your item(s). If the words "Please enquire" are shown, it's best to check with us first before ordering.
Nib choices for fountain pens
If we show the pen with the default nib selection shown in stock it means we have stock of that pen. If you select another nib size and the website doesn't say "in stock" we can usually supply that pen immediately as we keep extensive supplies of nibs from all our manufacturers.
Great workhorse ink
I have three things to say about this ink: first is that the colour has changed in recent years, and according to several reviewers is now virtually identical to Waterman Mysterious Blue. (This is quite likely, as both brands are owned by the same company.) Second is that it is a perfectly acceptable, workhorse blue-black ink with a modicum shading, teensy bit of sheen (only in huge amounts on good paper) and excellent gets-on-with-everyone-all-the-time characteristics. Third, is that at 85p cheaper than Waterman’s version (and 7ml more in the bottle), it’s even more of a bargain than its identical French twin. So if that’s your bag, it’s a steal!
NB: for those who remember the original colour (which looks more like the current picture), Diamine Eau de Nil, Sailor Yama-Dori and Rohrer & Klingner Verdigris are all in the same neighbourhood — EdN is brighter, Y-D is waterproof, and V is slightly darker. They are all, also, gorgeous!
