Availability
If an item is in stock, the words "In stock" will be shown. If an item is out of stock, the approximate number of days before we get another delivery will be shown instead. You may still be able to order the item, but there will be a delay before we can dispatch your item(s). If the words "Please enquire" are shown, it's best to check with us first before ordering.
Nib choices for fountain pens
If we show the pen with the default nib selection shown in stock it means we have stock of that pen. If you select another nib size and the website doesn't say "in stock" we can usually supply that pen immediately as we keep extensive supplies of nibs from all our manufacturers.
Great ink - shame about the bottle
This is strongly coloured ink, in a lovely shade between blue and black. It tones beautifully with a wide nib, and runs smoothly. It's not waterproof (and it didn't promise to be). The problem is the bottle: (1) it does not say on the outside what colour the ink is (2) the inside sealing disk on the lid is fastened with a glutinous substance that gradually came unstuck. Eventually the sealing disk came away and could not be replaced. The lid was not ink-proof without it. Keeping the bottle always upright is not an option for me as I carry ink in my briefcase - so I've had to transfer it to another bottle. (3) The bottle is wide and has a flat bottom, which makes it hard to fill from when the ink level falls.
