I must have been using The Writing desk for ink and refills, and then for TWSBI pens, for the best part of ten years and I echo everything others say about prompt delivery and careful packing. A really good range too - who'd have thought there were so many inks? They surpassed themselves when I wanted a new fountain pen in the lockdown with the shop closed, taking me through the options and then very efficiently swapping my first choice when I found the reality not quite as I'd thought from 'photos. The second is all I hoped. I can't recommend them strongly enough.

Although I have come to expect a first class service from Martin and Anna this time they surpassed themselves when I raised a concern that I had read about the Kaweco AL Sport that I wanted to buy. Not only did they address my concerns they also checked the pen and nibs before sending them to me. For me this is one of the reasons for buying through a small dedicated business where you can rely on personal service. While I could have bought some of the products slightly cheaper elsewhere, I wouldn't have the peace of mind that I received buying through them. So thanks to Martin and Anna and I shall be eyeing up my next purchase through their site in the very near future!

I've bought pens, inks, and notebooks from the Writing Desk for years, and warmly recommend them. Orders always arrive really quickly, and are well packaged to protect delicate pens or bottles of ink. Their ink range is truly amazing, and all the pens I've purchased are always tested and tuned so there's never any problems on taking out of the box, filling with ink, and using straight away. They're also immensely knowledgeable on inks and nibs, and always willing to offer advice. A brilliant company.
