Please use coffeetoofull FPN moniker: TWSBI Micarta EF arrived on time and MINT condition, after requesting that The Writing Desk check the of alignment and smoothness of nib before shipping. Excellent balance whether posted or not. Diameter of grip not too large for man's medium size hand. the weight of the pen is a medium light. Although I'm used to #5 nibs, the #6 nib on the Micarta is not too obvious to interfere with one's thoughts. The nib writes a nice EF test line with the Sailor Epinard Green ink. It's not ostentatious and clips in my shirt pocket. A comfortable pen in most any atmosphere which encourages one to write.

I ordered an Edison Pearlette fountain pen in Aztec Gold finish with a 1.4mm italic nib from Writing Desk on Wednesday 25 March 2015 together with three bottles of their own brand ink (Umber, Monaco Red & Imperial blue). The order was received Friday morning 27 March. Having done some initial investigation on the internet, I now find the pen to be excellent in appearance, quality of manufacture and writing performance. The Writing Desk service has likewise been first class: from the time of making a telephone enquiry, ordering the pen via their web-site and in the very prompt and efficient way they packaged and dispatched the pen. Their own brand Writing Desk ink is really good value and I will certainly use Writing Desk again and have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.
