Service great as always, and pen (TWSBI mini) excellent. However, the Herbin Ink Blotter is very disappointing: considering the price, the finish is rubbish: the lacquer chipped off the edge after only a couple of days on my desk & very light use (and let's face it, blotters don't get why anyone could call heavy use!) Herbin inks are very good, but this accessory does their reputation no favours.

My online order over the weekend, of a Pelikan M205 was dealt with and despatched on the next working day, with the fountain pen arriving, to my delight, on Tuesday, carefully packaged and with a note from Martin showing that the nib had been checked and tested. As for the pen, I am thrilled with the M205. The Broad nib is smooth with a generous flow and pleasing amount of softness for a steel nib. Filled with Serenity Blue ink, it provides attractive shading. The pen is quite petite, but the cap posts deeply and securely and so the short length is not an issue for me. It is very light, but then people used to use a quill! The pen is a real joy to behold and to use and a welcome addition to my collection.
